Mr. Van de Ven graduated in International Law at Leyden University. From 1986-1998 he worked at the T.M.C Asser University Institute for International and European Law in The Hague, where he held positions of researcher and deputy director. In this period he gained extensive foreign experience as a teacher and advisor in the field of international economic law. In 1998 Mr. van de Ven joined the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as a senior policy advisor in the field of (international) cultural policy. From 2005 till 2008 he was appointed as counselor at the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels. At present Mr. Van de Ven works as a policy advisor with the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and holds responsibility for the fields of e-culture, intellectual property and creative industries. |
