Dr Milena Dragićević Šešić, is a former President of University of Arts, Belgrade, now Head of UNESCO Chair in Interculturalizm, Art Management and Mediation, professor of Cultural Policy & Cultural Management. President of the Cultural Policy Research Award (ECF, Amsterdam). Member of the Board of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management (Foundation Marcel Hicter, Bruxelles). In her presentation M. Dragićević Šešić will explore the ways and methods introduced in university research and teaching contributing toward creation of different ?organizational cultures?, cultures that promote innovation and creativity of both students and professors, making universities active cultural policy creators and agents of change within cultural and artistic practices. Her research is linked not only to the experiences in two European educational networks (ELIA and ENCATC), but also to many Balkan and European artistic networks taking the role of platform for innovation and exchange. She is is offering insights into the processes of changing of contemporary university culture especially in the field of arts and humanities. Showing how peer-learning, research-based learning, project based learning, practice based learning etc. are re-shaping educational and cultural field MilenaDragićević Šešić is emphasizing importance of knowledge creation and production resulting in continuous innovation of the cultural and educational policies and practices. She explores how the new university management has achieved its transformation from institutional to project logic by using multifunctional strategies such as internationalization (networking), community involvement and quality assurance, thereby opening itself to experiments and innovation. She has shown interdependence of openness and intersectorial crossing with development of new ethics of contemporary learning institutions.
